It is important that you purchase a Poutangata wetsuit that fits you. If it is too tight and is over-stretched, it will loose it's thermal efficiency decreasing it's durability and ability to keep you warm. 

An open cell wetsuit should sit firmly against your skin acting as a seal, reducing the amount of water entering the suit in order to keep you warmer for longer. 

When choosing your size, keep in mind the thickness. If a 3mm suit fits you well, you may need to go up a size if you purchase a 7mm.
