Te Kārewarewa O Te Moana

Falcon of the Sea

Our Wānanga

Our wānanga series is not merely a collection of technical workshops; they are ceremonies, acts of cultural reclamation, and quiet revolutions. Grounded firmly in karakia, whakawhanaungatanga (building connections), and atua Māori, our gatherings provide safe, transformative spaces for wāhine to reconnect with their essence and ancestral identity.

Te Anga Whakamua

The Path Forward

We live with pono (truth) in our intentions, tika (correctness) in our actions, and aroha (love) in our offerings. Our belief in Io, the supreme source, guides us. We see divinity in every wave, every flax leaf, and every single breath. This mahi is not ours alone—it is shaped, protected, and guided by our ancestors, by the atua, and by our whānau.

We completely reject performative culture, choosing instead to uphold unwavering integrity, humility, and spiritual depth.

The Law Of Reciprocity

Reciprocity is central to the survival of our collectives. We gladly offer our ancestral teachings through wānanga in kawakawa oils, traditional weaving, and spiritual freediving. In exchange, we openly seeksupport from our community in administration, outreach, and storytelling.

This website is He Karanga—a call to remember who we are and to amplify the voices of our tūpuna through every thread we weave, every deep dive we execute, and every single dish washedwith a waiata on our lips.

He mahi tahi, he wānanga tahi, he oranga nukue | Working together, learning together, a vibrant life for all.
